Standard or rich? That’s the first question we usually ask when we’re briefed. There are a few other questions which you might not always know the answer to. But, don’t worry, we’re good at helping you establish the requirements as well as squeezing every last pixel out of a banner.

Below is a small selection of our work covering everything from simple standards through to rich, 3D, all singing all dancing campaigns including the creation of 600+ videos dynamically served via geo-targeting to specific user demographics (that was a busy week).

Whatever it is, it’s been made by us, in-house in our London or Boston studios.

What DO WE DO?

Our production teams have a broad set of skills from writing code to 3D animation via design, editing and all manner of post production including grading, compositing and sound design. Which means we can take on pretty much any brief and spin it into an ad.

How DO WE DO IT?

We’re pretty flexible in how we work and we’ll adapt to what suits you. The process varies depending on the breadth of the campaign but as a rule there are usually four steps.

 
Design
 

Design

This will be informed by how you’d like to brief us. You might have a fully approved set of designs or just a top level idea with no assets at all, not even a scamp. We’re comfortable starting from both ends of the spectrum or anything in-between.

 
Build - depending on the deliverable and creative the build phase might be very simple or quite complex. If it’s a standard ad and we’re working from approved designs then we can get straight into creation of the final ads. If however, we need to be…
 

Build

If the ads are straightforward and we have designs then we’ll get straight into build of the final units. Or, if the project’s a bit more complex and you’d like us to be involved with a shoot, create all the pre-viz, look after the edit, post and grade before wrapping it up into a set of dynamic ads...then we can do that too. Whatever you need, we’ve got you covered.

 
Testing - we’ll make sure the ads work wherever they’re meant to work and whatever they’re meant to work on.
 

Testing

We ensure the ads pass QA with the platforms as well as the publishers and usually first time. We also triple check everything with our own robust testing to confirm all the gremlins are out. Essentially, we make sure it works where it’s meant to work on whatever it’s meant to work on.

 
Delivery - we deliver the ads for trafficking having passed all necessary QA and testing.
 

Delivery

We deliver the ads for trafficking either via links to the ads on third-party platforms such as Sizmek, via secure download if it’s a set of standards or by ensuring the correct associations are in-place with the media agencies when trafficking via the likes of DoubleClick.

Over the last 10 years we’ve built ads for more than 70 brands around the globe, from the very big to very small. Sometimes we work directly and sometimes we collaborate with agencies.

WORKING WITH agencies

We work with lots of agencies; more than 35 since we started in 2008.

Some like to talk about us and some like to white label us.

We’re happy either way and we’re client friendly too. We’re very comfortable attending client meetings disguised as ‘a colleague’ — it can help with the trickier, more complicated campaigns and we find it can save time and a lot of emails if we have a conversation with the client or media agency.

We’ll even provide a unique URL so that it looks like the ad previews are being hosted by the agency. Sneaky.

Costs

We like to think we’re very competitive — because we have lots of experience it means we can turn things around quickly and efficiently.

The other benefit of all that experience is we’re pretty good at predicting what’s going to be required and how a project is going run so we provide a fixed price at the outset. And, unless there is a significant change to the brief, we stick to that price.
